SendaKid2Camp2023

Rescue, Release, Restore (RRR) provides powerful, innovative, and life-changing camp programs and we need your help to Send A Kid To Camp. What started almost 30 years ago as a camp program for African American boys ages 8-17 called SIMBA (Safe In My Brother’s Arms), has expanded to also include a camp program for African American girls ages 8-17 called SIMSA (Safe In My Sister’s Arms). RRR currently manages 2 camps with membership in 4 states throughout the Midwest region.

Rescue, Release, Restore is excited to announce that we will resume all camps in July 2023. For many of our youth, SIMBA and SIMSA serve as their only opportunity for summer programming. The relevancy and need for youth to experience camp is more prevalent now than ever. After experiencing an abrupt ending to schooling, transitioning to E-learning, and witnessing the fatal outcomes of COVID-19, then returning to school in an unfamiliar way, youth need a safe and engaging space for releasing and restoring. Now more than ever, we need to provide youth with in-person social experiences that will reacclimate them back into society and help prepare them for the world's new normal.

Your generosity helps Rescue, Release, Restore provide scholarships, transportation assistance, and programming supplies through our SendaKid2Camp campaign.

Due to our new normal we have additional needs for camp to provide extra measures of safety for all. In response to the need, we want to provide campers with: personal sanitizers, sanitizing stations, onsite medical staff, mental health practitioners, and smaller adult- to-child ratios.
