Send a Refugee to Summer Camp

This year, MYO summer camp would like to welcome children who have just sought refuge here in Canada have the opportunity to go to summer camp. This opportunity would be able to allow these kids to feel welcome and more at home; giving them a chance get to know Canadian culture to enjoy one of Canada's favourite summer activities. We want them to be able to build connections with their fellow youth and create friendships and bonds that could last a lifetime. These children have been through so much trauma and we're asking you to help us help them get back to a normal life.

For more than 30 years, the Muslim Youth of Ottawa has provided a Summer Camp for children and youth every summer at Long Bay Camp. It is one of the longest consecutively running summer camps in North America.

All the money raised will be used to send these kids to camp. It costs $395 per child to attend and our aim is to send 20 children. Camp is coming up fast; our deadline for the donations is August 10th since camp begins on August 14th!

Your generosity is tremendously appreciated. You will help put a genuine smile on these beautiful children’s faces. It's such a vulnerable time for these kids and to see them having fun is our most important goal.
