Zada was nominated by her school to go to Denver CO. to participate in a program called National Youth Leadership Forum: Pathways to STEM. It is an honor to be nominated because only the brightest, most highly motivated students are singled out for this nomination. Zada was chosen because the school "recognizes her as a student who already demonstrates exceptional maturity, scholastic merit and leadership potential at her young age."
If we raise enough money, Zada will have the opportunity to spend 6 days at the university with other like minded children, in intensive, engaging hand-on workshops that teach practice skills of effective leadership and gain greater self awareness and empathy. Not to mention that they will get to learn and explore the fields of engineering, medicine and detective work.
Please go to NYLFpathways.com to get more in depth information on the exciting opportunity she has to look forward to.
Let me tell you a little about Zada and why she is so deserving of your donation.
She has always been self motivated and very smart but she also has a huge heart and cares so much for people. She has always done everything she could to excel in school and all areas of her life. She, on her own, wrote up a speech and delivered it to her school in order to be nminated for the 5th grade student council. She did such a great job that they told her she would have been chosen as student council president but couldn't because she had to be in 6th grade. So they gave her a position as a student council member. Zada volunteers to help with school fundraisers and events and also maintains a 4.0 GPA every year.
Another exciting opportunity she was nominated for was participating in the Wright Flight program which she took very seriously and got a perfect score and was able to actually fly an airplane!
I believe Zada truly deserves and has earned her place in this program and we are asking for your help. Any amount will help! I will let Zada know who has donated so she can thank you personally.
(We started this campaign last year but didn't raise enough. We already have part of what we need but still need the remainder in order for her to go this year)
Her new travel date is in July of this year 2018 to Occidental University in L.A.
