Send youth climate activists to lobby in DC

Students for Sustainability is a coalition of high school students working on environmental initiatives in the Omaha area. Our accomplishments include implementing composting within local area high schools and holding an annual climate strike. Our recent focuses include testifying for local policy and holding our elected officials accountable for the city’s climate action plan. In June, we would like to send three members of our team to DC to lobby for environmentally friendly policy. This core group is incredibly excited to find common ground with our country’s leaders to be a voice for the youth. This conference would allow our team to turn our passion into national action. We cannot do this without asking for financial support from our most trusted allies in our journey to a sustainable future. We hope you are able to help us spread our message and inspire change.
