Help Send Guam Sailors To Hong Kong Race Week
Donation protected

Hi, I'm Eric , a fifteen year-old High School Sophomore who enjoys sailing and inspiring other young people who are interested in sailing to pursue it further. I volunteer in classes and events held at the Mariannas Yacht Club, and am always eager to learn more myself. Already, in my relatively short career in sailing, I've been fortunate enough to meet many loving and charitable people who have helped me on my way. Perhaps, sailing, to me, is an outlet from which to meet new people, and share with them something that I love. ~ Eric

Hi my name is Made Bradley, I'm 18 years old. I was born in Bali, Indonesia and I moved to Guam to learn the wonderful art of Sailing. Along my sailing journey I found myself becoming a very passionate Sailing instructor. I have taught countless students how to sail. And frankly It's one of the best feelings in the world to see a new sailor finally take charge of their boat, the wind and their freedom on the water." ~ Made

From February 12th -17th Hong Kong is hosting a Race Week (HKRW). We Would Love to Send a Coach and Sailor this year to represent Guam and the United States. This will be a huge step in improving the experience, reputation and knowledge for our sailing program.
As a coach this will be an excellent experience for me to learn from other coaches and have experience in teaching performance sailing on the water in international events. ~ Made

For our Sailor Eric this will be an unmatched experience for him. International Sailing events like the HKRW will expose Eric to very experienced sailors and and coaches. From my experience Simply observing experienced sailors is enough to drastically accelerate improvement. ~ Made

In competing at the Hong Kong Race Week regatta, I hope to further advance my sailing knowledgeability in my mission to both spread sailing to others, and create lasting bonds with people. ~Eric

In a perfect world this would be affordable for us to fund it individually. Unfortunately there will be a few expenses such as:
$525 for Food
$70 for transport
$800 for lodging
$1450 for airfare
$2340 for boat charters and race entry
So we kindly ask for your support to help provide sailing opportunities and growth to the sailors of Guam and to those unable to attend such events.
Donations, support, shares, or simple words of encouragement of any amount are appreciated.
Lets work together to keep sailing fun and accessible!
