York County Little League (YCLL) 9-11 All-Star Baseball Team is the Virginia State Champion!!!!
YCLL competed in the 9-11 Baseball State Tournament last week (July 13-18th)--going 6-0 and outscoring their opponents 83-10!! This is a huge accomplishment, as YCLL hasn't had a state champion team in nearly 20 years and never in the 9-11 age group!!!
As state champions, the YCLL 9-11 All-Star baseball team has the once in a lifetime opportunity to represent the entire State of Virginia by competing on a regional level in the Tournament of State Champions held in Wilson, NC. The current schedule is:
- Friday, July 28th, Opening Ceremonies.
- Saturday, July 29th, Florida v. Virginia.
- Sunday, July 30th, Virginia v. South Carolina.
- Monday, July 31st, Virginia v. Georgia.
- Tuesday, August 1st, Quarter and Semi-finals.
- Wednesday, August 2nd, Championship Game.
PLEASE consider helping make the dream of competing in the Southeast regional Tournament of State Champions a reality for these boys!
Everything raised goes directly to offset the costs of traveling to and competing in the tournament (including travel, lodging, food, etc.,).
The boys couldn't have the opportunity to chase their dreams and make core childhood memories without the support of our community, friends, and family. THANK YOU!!!!
