Hi everyone! We are the Academic Decathlon team from West Genesee High School, and we have some exciting news: after months of late Night study sessions, grueling practice tests, and intense competition, we have been invited into the National championship in California!
Why This Matters
Academic Decathlon isn't just a club; it’s a rigorous 10-event scholastic competition. We’ve spent this year diving deep into this year's theme, The Roaring Twenties, covering subjects like:
• Art & Music History
• Literature & Economics
• Science & Social Science
• Speech, Interview, and Essay
This competition is a chance for us to represent our school and community on a larger stage, meet fellow scholars, and put our hard work to the ultimate test.
Where the Funds Go
Traveling a full team (and our amazing coaches!) is expensive. We are looking to raise as much as possible to cover the essential costs of the trip:
• Registration Fees: Essential for our entry into the competition.
• Travel: Flights/Bus transport to California.
• Lodging: Hotel stays for the duration of the multi-day event.
• Meals: Keeping our brains fueled and ready for testing.
How You Can Help
Any contribution—no matter the size—gets us one step closer to our goal. If you aren't able to donate at this time, sharing this page with your friends, family, and social networks would mean the world to us.
Thank you for supporting student achievement and helping us prove that hard work in the classroom truly pays off!
Go Wildcats!
