Ok, we've got two things we're incredibly excited to tell you about: 1) our new play, and 2) where we're going with that play and why where we're going is CRAZY awesome. So buckle in, there's a lot to cover:

The play we have devised is called Do Androids Dream of Electric Friends? Mariah (director), Esther (actor) and Claire (actor) wanted to explore how society currently feels about Artificial Intelligence--it can be the source of a huge amount of anxiety or be seen as the answer to all of our problems. Instead of working with either of those extremes, the play instead brings it from the macro to the micro, exploring how two friends run the gamut of emotions when they bring an AI into their home and start to rely on it.

Just as the play's themes are all about cutting-edge tech, the set design reflects that! This show is going to use multimedia effects to pull you into the near future through the clever use of projection and a sophisticated sound design. The audience experience will be another layer of re-programming expectations, as they are persuaded to act the part of the AI. We can guarantee that this is a show you haven't seen before.

Now, for the big reveal: this show is such an exciting demonstration of our talented team's work, we've arranged to take it to the biggest show in the world: the Edinburgh Fringe Festival . For those who don't spend a lot of time exploring live theater, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival is the biggest live performance festival in the world. It's where talented creators come together to share their newest ideas and forge relationships that can change careers and shape the course of live theater for the future. We have already secured an incredible venue (The Emerald Theater at Nicholson Square, check it out) for a week-long run in August.

Obviously, taking even a two-woman show to a world-class theater festival in Scotland requires a big investment. We're pursuing corporate sponsors and grants, but we also wanted to give you an opportunity to contribute to the arts and help make some dreams come true. And, as a thank you for your contribution, you'll be eligible for a free ticket to our local run of the show, which we'll perform before we leave for the Fringe Festival.

Thanks so much for your support!
