Hey there...my name is Chris and I have a really super awesome group of 6th graders who have been tasked with creating a carnival for their end of year project! This is a tremendous challenge but at Quest To Learn we like to get our hands dirty and build things from the ground up. One of our core beliefs is that kids learn by doing and experiencing things first hand...so we thought what is a better way to learn about carnivals than to go to one! We are hoping to raise enough money to take all 80 of our students to Luna Park @ Coney Island in Brooklyn in June. This would be a great way for a hard working group of 6th graders to end the year!
As a Title 1 school with many students who face insecure housing situations it is extremely difficult to ask families to pay for this type of trip which average4s around $35 per student. We dont want anyone to miss out...if it is at all possible please donate to our field trip fund. We will also be hosting a bake sale and some other fun events to help raise money.
