Hi, my name is Ken Konkel, and I have had the pleasure of coaching these fine young men in the u16 competitive flag football league in Saskatchewan. What started as a group of boys who had never played competitive flag football before ended with a magical run through the playoffs and into the finals. The fairytale doesn't have to end there, though - these boys now have the opportunity to represent the great province of Saskatchewan (and reigning champions) on the national stage at the upcoming 2025 Football Canada Flag Football Club National Championships. We are in a serious time crunch, though, as we need to raise --20 thousand dollars-- by August 7 (!!), and we *just* got the invitation.
The boys are doing all that they can - knocking on doors, collecting bottles, doing yard work (or any odd job you have!) but the reality is we just don't have enough time to raise it all in the 3 weeks we have until the deadline.
If there is anything you are willing to help us with, every little bit helps. These boys are so excited at the opportunity to carry forward the great tradition of flag football in Saskatchewan.
