José Amaury Cueva Sosa, 18, and José Emmanuel Uribe, 20, were brothers whose lives were tragically cut short in a devastating car accident. Their family is now facing the unimaginable pain of losing two beloved sons, while their third brother, Leandro Cortorreal Sosa, who was driving, is in the hospital recovering from his injuries. Leandro’s wife, who is expecting their first child, is also facing an uncertain future as the family tries to navigate this overwhelming loss and hardship.
The family’s greatest wish is to transport José Amaury and José Emmanuel’s bodies back to the Dominican Republic, their country of origin, so they can be laid to rest surrounded by loved ones and honored with proper funeral services. The costs of transportation, funeral arrangements, and supporting Leandro and his wife during this difficult time have placed an enormous financial burden on the family. Juan is organizing this fundraiser to help ease that burden, giving the family the chance to say a proper goodbye to their brothers and to support Leandro as he recovers. All funds raised will go directly to the family to help pay for funeral costs, transportation, and support for Leandro and his wife as they face the challenges ahead.
