Send the Unbroken Rhino to the Arnold UK

Hello. My name is Peter and i am setting this fund raiser up for my brother Billy “The Unbroken Rhino”. My brother is a world class disabled strongman athlete.
10 years ago he suffered from two traumatic brain injuries that left him wheel chair bound for the better part of a year. These injuries caused long term damage that has taken him years to recovery from. Some effects like short term memory loss, muscle atrophy, photophobia, and migraines have improved over the years. This was with the help of several doctors and physical therapists. Others such as Ataxia and nerve damage he may never fully recovery from. He has always been a student and advocate of strength building, body building, power lifting, and strongman. It’s these disciplines that ultimately saved his life. Once he was given medical clearance by his doctors and physical therapist he started going back to the gym and start training. I’ve been working with him for almost 9 years and I’ve seen him break through walls and hurdles that would stop normal people. That is why we started calling him Rhino, he wouldn’t be stopped.

In 2016, our mother passed away from cancer. It was a dark time and we all lost focus. Later that year fate would intervene and he discovered the world of Disabled Strongman. He learned that the Arnold Classic in Columbus, Ohio would be hosting its first ever Disabled Strongman competition. He now had a new goal and objectives to strive to reach. Billy took his training to a new level. For the last 5 years he has been actively competing in Disabled Strongman. He has competed against the strongest disabled athletes around the world. In that time he has managed to successfully do a seated deadlift of 1100lbs. And currently holds the world record for the Mauser block, seated axle press, and seated log press.

Now he journey takes him across the pond to the Arnold Classic Sports Festival UK. It is being held in Birmingham Nec, UK from September 23rd-25th. His competition there is on September 24th and 25th. There he will be competing in the Seated 1 division against the other strongest adaptive athlete from around the world.

I am starting this fund raiser to help pay for the costs for the trip out there so he can compete. It is a great way to show people that anything can be accomplished and overcome. It is also a wonderful experience for men, women and children who have similar disabilities to witness these competitions. To see these athletes not settle with the cards that life has given them. To overcome obstacles, hardships and prove that you can adapt to anything.
