Send the UAF Women's Running Team to Nationals!

Teammates are those you can trust to remember a shared goal in a race — to give all that we have because we know where we've come from, where we want to go, and who we represent. When one begins to fade from fatigue, another may put in a surge, and both are encouraged to stay in the race. Teammates take turns leading, protecting each other, and trusting each other to maintain the pace. When I put on my Alaska uniform and see my teammates in theirs, I am reminded of the training we've done together in a less-than-ideal environment and the people we represent back home who can thrive in the cold and dark.
This year, the UAF women's cross-country team put forth an immense effort at regionals. Kendall Kramer repeated her GNACs performance to finish first with a personal best of 20:29. Rosie Fordham finished 6th while Delainey Zock and Teegan Silva improved upon their best performances by an average of 45 seconds. Despite the effort and high hopes, the women's team did not receive an at-large bid to compete at the national race. While we are unable to compete as a team, we want to support Kendall Kramer and Rosie Fordham as they represent Alaska at the NCAA DII National Championships. We are at our best when we are with our teammates and we want to continue to reinforce those shared beliefs and values while cheering and training with Kendall and Rosie at the National Championships in Missouri on November 18th.
Please help us achieve our funding goal so that we can support Kendall and Rosie as we collectively represent the UAF women's cross-country team and the larger Fairbanks community.
