Send The Snowflakes To VEX Worlds 2025!

Hello,
We are the St Chris Snowflakes, a VEX Robotics team based in Letchworth Garden City.
So what is VEX?
VEX Robotics is a worldwide robotics foundation that hosts state of the art robotics competitions for schools around the globe. Each year, a thrilling new challenge is created where teams must go head-to-head in a 2v2 format to intently gain as many points in 2 minutes (including 15 seconds of autonomous control!). This season, the challenge is High Stakes, where teams must put as many rings on tall stake-like objects, the teams must endure heated "battle" in order to secure the points, as well as the highly contested modifier corners.
Within VEX, the competitions follow a standard format, where teams must first compete on a regional level o progress to their region's championship, if they perform well enough in this, they get a ticket to the VEX World Championship (the largest robotics competition in the world), the state of the art competition held in Dallas, Texas, where 800 of the best teams in the world compete in a multi-day vigorous competition to get a chance of becoming world champions.
Who are the Snowflakes?
The Snowflakes are team 29457A, a high school team that has risen to the top of UK competition; last year, the team struggled and fought in their rookie year to rise the levels of competition, making it to Nationals and then winning the highly coveted Design Award, giving them a spot in Worlds.
This year, the team has shown exemplary performance throughout the season, using their experience and expanded knowledge to compete amongst the highest ranks in the UK; this season alone, the team won 5 awards, including 3x Tournament Champions, as well as displaying one of the highest driver skills score in the country, showing the skill and effort the team has displayed.
Progressing with ease to nationals, the standard of competition was higher than anyone had previously anticipated, they fought hard but were unfortunately unable to secure one of the limited spots to Worlds as they had done before.
Despite this, recently, the team was surprised to see that they had been invited to Worlds based on their exemplary performance and dedication throughout the season. The team has begun excitedly planning their travel to worlds.
We need your help!
With the unfortunate short notice and the inevitable cost of travelling the the competition in Dallas, the team needs your help to fundraise! We ask that you donate a little so that we can make it to the competition we have fought for so hard this past year.
Our fundraising goals
We believe that the cost of travel and accommodation could cost upwards of £12,000; so we are setting this goal in the hope to alleviate the cost on our parents (who have already given so much this season) We are firm believers of the little things count, so feel free to give as much as you would like to support us!
