Hello!
As I approach the finish line at Covenant Seminary in St Louis, we are beginning to consider future employment opportunities. One of these that we are very excited about is Reformed University Fellowship. Both Allison and I have a long history with RUF, both having worked for them after college. We cherish the time we had with them and are planning on attending RUF Assessment in February '19.
What is Assessment?
Assessment is a three day interview process during which RUF has a chance to ask questions, discern our gifting, and determine whether or not we are called to ministry under their organization. This time not only helps them discern if we would be a good fit but also in what context (types of schools, region of the country, student culture, etc).
Why Assessment?
Allison and I were deeply formed in our time with RUF as students and as Interns and are considering what it would look like to pursue ministry to college students in a formal capacity. This will be an important step in this journey and would help to affirm if this is God's calling for us.
Why the Go Fund Me?
The money we are asking for will go towards our travel costs (flights and meals) to Dallas as well as the fee for Assessment itself (which includes hotel, etc). We are hoping to have this money raised by December 31st so we can plan accordingly.
How can I pray?
--For peace and an ability to be ourselves.
--For us to remember God's sovereignty over the process.
--For Hewitt (and his Grandparents!) as he stays with them while we are gone.
