Joe as Mr Leather UK couldn't make it to IML last year due to lack of funds, which was obviously disappointing. As Mr leather Europe 2016, Joe has had to personally finance travel around Europe to get to events and now cannot afford to go to IML again in 2017, as he has placed events in Europe as more important - placing the community before his own hopes and desires.
Why Joe should be at IML
Joe has been a tremendous support to me in running both Manchester Leathermen and also in hosting Manchester Leather Weekend. I know that as Mr Leather UK, he also supported London Leathermen extensively, and now has gone on to try to support as many events and groups in Europe as he can. I think Joe deserves some support back from the community that he has tirelessly worked for.
It is the first time that anyone in Manchester Leathermen has won Mr Leather UK and Mr Leather Europe, and it will be the first time our community has a chance to be represented at IML. Joe is an amazing leatherman, and will undoubtedly do very well. It would be a tremendous shame if he can't make it.
Everyone in our club really wants him to go and shine there; let's make it happen for Joe.
Funding Joe at IML
The minimum amount of money Joe needs to go to IML is £2000, to cover his flight and his accomodation, as well as his entry ticket. We are also staging a raffle and other fund raising events to get him the money, so if if we don't raise £2000 on here, we may raise it using the other avenues we try. Please donate!
