Send the BHS Trumpet Ensemble to San Antonio!

Send Brighton High School's Trumpet Sextet to the International Trumpet Guild conference in San Antonio, Texas!

 

The Brighton High School Trumpet Sextet, comprised of Luke Newcomb, Owen Blush, Jason Robinson, Ben Mulligan, Vance Straub, and Nick Hardy, led by Ms. Sharon Long, has been selected by the prestigious International Trumpet Guild  (ITG) to perform during its annual conference in May.  ITG is a non-profit organization of professional and amateur trumpet players. Its yearly conference, which is held in San Antonio this year, draws trumpet players and educators from all over the world. 

 

It is incredibly rare for a high school group to receive this invitation; in many prior years, only one high school group has been invited from the entire country. The BHS Trumpet Sextet will play alongside elite professional groups and collegiate players from top fine arts colleges from across the globe. They will represent not only Brighton High School, but the entire state of Michigan!

 

You can help send this group to this extraordinary experience. We are raising $5,000 to cover travel, lodging, meals, and conference fees to send these six musicians to San Antonio. Your support will allow these young men to:
