Hi there! This is Master Caressa Cuenca, a coach from Team Park Sport Taekwondo, the competition travel team for Park's Taekwondo Academy (Norfolk) and Park's U.S. Tae Kwon Do Center (Independence)!

Our team is sending 3 athletes to represent our schools in the 2025 USA Taekwondo Nationals in Ontario, California from July 23 to July 27! Our athletes that represent our schools and the community will fight for the chance to be #1 in the country, and a National Champion in USA Taekwondo! This will be Team Park Sports first appearance at USATKD Nationals since 2018!

Let's introduce our team that will represent Team Park Sport:

  • Nick Tabor: Nick Tabor is currently a 16 year old, 2nd Degree Black Belt, and has been doing taekwondo since he was 3 years old! A long time supporter and student of Park's U.S. Tae Kwon Do Center! He has been competing for Team Park Sport since 2022, and loves the thrill of the sport! He has faced many obstacles and loss in the sport, however that has not stopped him. He has earned himself many awards and titles, including being the 2025 American Open East Silver Medalist for the Male Black Belt World Class Junior -68kg! He hopes to continue his hard work and love for the sport at the 2025 USATKD Nationals!

  • Natalie Jaramillo: Natalie Jaramillo is currently a 17 year old Junior Black Belt, and is representing Team Park Sport as our one and only para-athlete! As an athlete with Amniotic Band Syndrome, Natalie has faced obstacles in the sport, however she is one of our most determined, and hard-working athletes! She strives to represent the USA in the 2028 Paralympics in LA! She hopes to show other para-athletes and girls in such a male-dominant sport that she can achieve greatness!

  • Jeremiah Hopson: Jeremiah Hopson is currently a 9 year old High Blue Belt, and is our leading rookie for Team Park Sport! As one of our youngest athletes, and Rookie of the Year, Jeremiah is excited to nationally compete! Since the start of his competition career, he has had his eyes set on becoming a part of the USA Olympic Taekwondo team! He hopes to prove himself at the 2025 Nationals to take another step closer to his potential greatness!

  • Coach: Master Caressa Cuenca, previous USATKD medalist, and taekwondo practitioner for Park's Taekwondo Academy! She will be leading our Team Park Sport athletes to greatness!

We need your help & support for our team and athletes! Our Team Park athletes work very hard in training their mental and physical abilities in Olympic-style Taekwondo! Our athletes train hard to be the best fighter than they can be!
As their first national competition, fees can be very expensive, and we would like to alleviate costs for our athletes and their families so that we can all support them properly!

Messages from Our Team:
  • "I train with the same fighter mentality I admire in top taekwondo athletes, giving 100% every time I step on the mat. Now, I've earned the chance to compete at nationals, and I need your support to get there" - Nick T.
  • "Every match and training session reminds me that I am not defined by my disability. I am capable, and I belong in this sport. Taekwondo has become my life! To have the chance to be a Paralympian and to show other para-athletes & girls in this sport, means more to me than anything! - Natalie J.
  • "My dream is to be an Olympic Sparring champion! I have worked really hard in my first competition season, and would love the opportunity to compete against the country's best athletes! I even told my mom I am willing to skip my allowance to help my chances of becoming a champion!" - Jeremiah H.
  • "I know how it feels to be an athlete in taekwondo. Being a fighter is one of the hardest things that you can do, let alone accomplish. It's now my time to support my athletes, and push them towards success with the greatness that lies within them. Our athletes have put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into this sport. Their hard work makes me beyond proud for athletes and kids at their ages and experiences. I want them to get every opportunity that they are given to show everyone who they are and what they stand for." - Master Caressa Cuenca

With your donation, fees can be decreased to help our athletes and families get closer for the chance to fulfill their goals and dreams at the 2025 USATKD Nationals! Any and every donation will be put towards the team's travel, stay, and competition expenses! Anything and everything helps! Please donate, and spread the word! Bring our team to nationals! Let's go Team Park Sport!
