Send Team 2491 NoMythic to World Champs 2023!

Hello from NoMythic! We’re a robotics team from the Twin Cities, made up of students from Great River School and Avalon School - two small charter schools in St. Paul, Minnesota. You can visit us at our website (http://2491nomythic.com/about/) to learn more about us.

We just got back from our Minneapolis regional competition, where had an amazing time competing with our robot and making connections with other local teams! We were also incredibly honored to be given the FIRST Impact Award, which celebrates teams that create the most significant impact on their communities. Known as "the most prestigious award at FIRST," this award comes with an invitation to compete at the World Championships in Houston, Texas, April 19-22!

We’re so excited to bring our team to Worlds! However in order to do so, we need to raise over 20,000 dollars by April 18th to account for food, travel, competition fees, lodging, and other expenses. That’s a lot of money! And we need your help!

Since our founding in 2008, we have been striving to create inclusive STEM communities to grow future generations of passionate problem solvers. We are hoping to continue this impact at the World Championship. Last year, we qualified for Worlds through the Engineering Inspiration Award, and the week we spent in Houston was one of the best weeks of many of our students’ lives. The trip gave our team the opportunity to deepen our relationships with one another, recognize our passion for the work of robotics, and expose students to pathways toward bright futures in STEM and beyond. We can't wait to do it all again!

Our team has, since the very beginning, been backed by an amazing community of families, sponsors, alums, other teams, and many other people that help to create the best possible experience for our students.
