Send Tabatha to therapy of out of state!

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Erika, and I’m fundraising for my niece Tabatha. At 6 months old, Tabatha was diagnosed with a rare genetic mitochondrial disorder after we were concerned she wasn't holding up her head or tracking us properly. Symptoms include hearing loss, vision loss, seizures, other visual issues, low tone, respiratory failure, and developmental delay, among other things. She only presents with low tone, nystagmus, and developmental delay at the moment. However, no one can tell us if or when it will progress, literally taking it day by day. Now at the age of 1 she still cannot prop sit, she is functioning at a 4/5 month level. Insurance and government have denied her of assistance and equipment for very absurd reasons. Therefore, her parents, along with family members, have invested in adaptive equipment, such as an adaptive bath chair, adaptive stroller, adaptive feeding chair, and adaptive supporting seat just to help her function on a day to day basis and be able to do things other families do, like go out to a restaurant and tie her adaptive seat to a high chair so we can enjoy a meal. Although we are thrilled with the equipment we have, we are now trying to save up for intensive therapy outside of state, that is not covered by insurance. Our dream is to be able to see our girl sit up independently and play with her favorite toy. It sounds so simple to some, but just sitting alone would make the world of a difference to her and our family. To know Tabatha is to love her! Any donation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
