Paglagispi, welcome. My name is Iñuraaq and my life was personally enriched from Sarah Ayaqi Whalen-Lunn, as an Iñupiaq woman who received traditional Iñuit tattoos from the artist. Sarah Whalen-Lunn is an Iñupiaq artist living in Anchorge, Alaska. She is a multimedia artist specializing in painting, wood block prints, digital media, jewelry, and a glass and wool. She has become quite well known for her traditional Inuit tattooing in recent years. Much of her work is influenced by her Native heritage. Sarah has given so much of her time and talents to the Alaskan Native community in revitalizing traditional tattooing, as well as sharing her art with the collective community. Sarah and her partner recently experienced a sudden loss with the passing of one of their children. Please donate to her and her family to relieve financial pressure in this intense time of grieving. Sarah has created the opportunity for healing for so many of us in Alaska and elsewhere. Please consider donating to her and her family, as they seek their own healing.
