Attention, Stivers School for the Arts community! WE NEED YOUR HELP! Selected dance magnet students will soon be traveling to Toronto, Canada to take part in the 2023 International Association of Blacks in Dance conference. The IABD Conference and Festival offers scholarship auditions for summer programs and university dance programs, as well as a multi-dance company audition for professional dance companies in ballet, modern, and contemporary dance. It provides the perfect opportunity to learn from and share experiences with leading national and internationally renowned dance artists from around the world. Dance master classes, including technique, improvisation, creative process, and repertory take place over five amazing days. It's an incredible opportunity for our dancers! Our dancers are doing their part through their hard work, dedication, high grade point averages-- but they can't do it alone. They need your support.
