Meet Our Amazing Shanika!

Hi everyone,

I’m Kirsty, the incredibly blessed mum of Shanika. We’re beyond excited to share that Shanika has been selected to represent Team Australia at the International Cheer Union World Cheerleading Championships at ESPN in Orlando, Florida, in April 2025!

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Shanika to showcase her incredible talent and represent her culture on the world stage. As one of the first Indigenous Australian athletes with a disability to compete at this level, Shanika’s journey is not just about chasing her dreams—it’s about breaking barriers and inspiring others.

We’re reaching out for support to help cover the costs involved in making this dream come true, including:

Flights ✈️ (Australia to Orlando, plus training-related travel)

Accommodation (both interstate and in the US)

Interstate training expenses (essential training camps leading up to the competition)

Competition travel costs (including uniforms and entry fees)

Disney Complex Entry ️ (where the championships are held)
