Send Scott to Brazil for Deaflympics

Donation protected
The US Deaf Cycling Team is competing in the 2022 Deaflympics in Caxis Do Sul, Brazil on May 1-15, 2022. I am so honored to have been selected to represent the United States this year.
Deaflympics, previously called World Games for the Deaf, or an International Olympic Committee (IOC) sanctioned event At which Deaf athletes compete at an elite level!

Although I've been racing for 26 years (I was 5-time Alabama State Champion before moving to Greensboro, NC) this will be my first time at the Deaflympics. I have been Deaf all my life. My life is wonderfully crazy. I am dad to 7 kids, two nutty dogs and a flockful of backyard chickens. My beautiful wife Megan and I met in Birmingham when we were both racing. Road racing, mountain bike racing- we did it all!

In Greensboro, I ride for local teams where we support each other with our training goals. Our US team is very strong this year and I'm very blessed to be in a very high ranking. I will be racing in all four cycling events: Road Race, Mountain bike, Points race and the 1,000 meter sprint.

If you find statistics mind-numbing, you can skip- but my cycling “creds” are:
-2 time member of Deaf World Cycling Championships.
-4th in 1000m Sprint in both 2006 and 2011
-5 time Masters Alabama State Cyclocross Champion
-Category 3 RR Alabama State champion (2010)
Category 2 road
Category 1 MTB
Category 1 Cyclocross Elite Masters

All team members for the Deaf Olympics need to raise $4,500 to cover flights, lodging, meals and logistics. Although my wonderful teammates and I are all considered elite athletes, unlike others Olympians and Paralympians, we do not receive support from the US Olympic Team. We are hard-core cyclists, not marketing guys. I'm very blessed I've already met almost half that goal, I've already raised $2,000. I would be so honored and humbled if you could help me more forward with this fundraising goal.

I've got my heart set on racing and hopefully winning in Brazil in May and I hope you'll consider helping me out with achieving this dream of representing the US in Brazil this spring. If you love cycling or have a heart for the Deaf community please donate to help me sponsor me.
Your donation will be tax deductible. Go USA!
