Send Rob to Boston

Hi, our family and I are raising money for my brother Robert Cavanaugh Jr. Robert is 31 years old and a father to 2 kids, Robbie (10) and Madelyn (8 months). Robert was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer in December 2021. Robert had his Thyroid removed with two surgeries and completed six weeks of radiation. In May of 2022, Robert started experiencing difficulty breathing and learned that his cancer had spread to his lungs. On June 7th, Robert was diagnosed with Stage 4 Thyroid cancer with metastasis. He began an oral chemo medication that day and, six days later, learned it would not help his cancer. Roberts cancer has a rare mutant gene which at this time has no cure.

Our Fundraiser for Robert will give him an opportunity with the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston for him to be part of a new clinical trial.

Robert has been out of work since May 23rd; We are looking to utilize the funds for his medical and housing expenses during the clinical trials. Which, at this time, will be all out of pocket for Robert. We, as a family, appreciate any and all the support and prayers you can provide to help Robert on this life-changing journey.
