This fundraiser is for Clarissa Tullis, known to us as Riss. Recently, she went to Florida to try out for Team USA Women’s Football alongside hundreds of other women. After several days of try outs, she was selected to represent our country as a Defensive Back at the games in Finland. Although this is exciting, it brings upon an additional barrier, cost.

For those of you that do not know, the women who play semi pro tackle football, pay out of pocket to compete while maintaining full time jobs, families, etc. Riss is one of these female athletes, balancing a full plate while continuing to compete in a sport that she loves at the highest level. I have no doubt that Riss would grind and find a way to make this work but she shouldn’t have to.

I could not think of a better person to represent Team USA. Riss embodies what it means to be an athlete by her sheer determination, commitment, and devotion to this sport and every team she plays on. It is no doubt in my mind that she will represent this country well both on and off the field. She should not have to worry about the “how” and instead should be focused on getting better everyday before she competes on one of the biggest platforms in the world.

These costs will cover her players fees, which include her flight to Finland, hotel, and food (among several other things). I am hoping everyone can spare at least $5 and help send Riss to Finland!
