S.E.N.D Reform England

S.E.N.D Reform England is a campaign set up to drive change across the SEND education system. It is run by a group of volunteers, all parents of children with additional needs and disabilities. We are asking for a complete reform of the system including (but not exclusively);

• Accountability and training for local decision makers to speed up access to support and reduce the need for lengthy appeals 
• More specialist schools and school places 
• More funding for SEN pupils in mainstream schools, for those with EHCPs and those on SEN support
• Adequate SEND training for teaching staff Easier and quicker access to diagnostic services and support 
• A dedicated Minister for SEND
  

We have already gained a lot of support from across the SEND community including other campaigners and even celebrities. Our protest in London on 21st July, has also gained attention of many politicians and the press. 

But we're far from done! We won't stop until we see actual change across the system. Our aim is to work with local and central governments to ensure ALL children get the education they deserve in an appropriate environment. 

But we need help to keep the campaign going. 

Any money raised will be spent on ongoing administrative costs such as maintaining the website, printing leaflets & insurance for future protests to be held in the autumn of 2023.
