Send PR Girls Volleyball Team to Nationals

Dearest friends, neighbors, and members of Puerto Rico community,

Many of our lives have been impacted by the value of team sports and athletics… the confidence building, setting and working to achieve goals, and the character building that results both from winning and losing.

As we enter the Season of Giving, we come to you to ask for support for a very worthwhile cause to greatly impact the lives of ten amazing Puerto Rican girls.

Our dear friend's daughter has been playing competitive volleyball on the island for much of her young life. Her club team is made up of incredible young girls from all walks of life. Recently, their team qualified for the National AAU Volleyball Tournament being held in Orlando FL in June. This is already a huge accomplishment to make it this far; however, given many of the families’ circumstances, the thought of trying to attend the tournament is out of reach financially for most of the teammates and their families.

We feel deeply that no young teen should be denied an incredible opportunity like this due to the economic circumstances – especially in our beautiful and economically diverse island.

We have set a goal to raise enough money to not only cover the airfare and hotel expenses for the girls (10) and chaperones (10), but also to allocate enough money for the team to spend their last day after the tournament going to Disney World – something most of them have dreamed about their whole lives. For many of these girls, this is a once in a lifetime trip.

Here’s the approx. cost breakdown (per person).

Roundtrip flight: $350

Hotel: $600

Transportation: $200

F&B: $150

Disney: $200

our beneficiary is Jessica Cabrera, mom of a player and treasurer of the team, funds will be directly transferred to her for the team expenses to be allocated for the teammates direct expenses. Jessica has been a long time employee of ours and her daughter like a family member/sister to our girls. Jessica will

be handling all the airfare reservations and accommodation bookings.

If you’re willing an able to pay for one person, that would be a $1,500 donation. But any amount, large or small, would be immensely appreciated.

We have seen our community come together to help in so many admirable ways and we’re directly asking you to help make some magic for these amazing girls.
