If you live in Minnesota please DO NOT donate to this campaign. Instead, please forward this to your allies across the country and around the world.

This fundraiser is how people elsewhere can show their love for Minnesota’s resistance to forced occupation.

The art action, “Kaleidoscope of Love” will feature over 1,000 Minnesotans holding colorful placards over their heads to form a giant mosaic of a monarch butterfly, with hundreds more spelling out love in different languages — all documented by drones flying overhead.

The action will provide an opportunity for Minnesotans to heal and to persist with dignity as a community — while sending a message to the USA and to the world that Minnesota values beauty, compassion, and communal care in the face of lasting harm wrought by federal atrocities. The ICE surge may be drawing down but the struggle for justice is far from over.

“Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that”
— Martin Luther King, Jr.

Chip in $2.30 to cover the cost of a placard to be used in the art mobilization. $100 underwrites 44 placards. $230 will generate 100 placards. A successful campaign will mean that ALL of the placards held by Minnesotans in the butterfly mosaic will be paid for by people in other states and countries who are inspired by Minnesota’s example. Let’s show OUR love for THEIR love!

Copy That’s partner in Minnesota is Indivisible Twin Cities. We are collaborating on messages, designs, and materials. Indivisible Twin Cities (ITC) is distributing all materials for free, thanks to your generosity.

We delivered almost 900 protest signs in January. They were distributed all around the state. We are now working with ITC to develop signs and large banners based on this part of an old poem:

‘They tried to bury us.
They didn’t know we are seeds.’
— Ernesto Cardenas (poet)

Your contribution is not tax deductible but it supports ongoing peaceful demonstrations in any area suffering from a surge of federal agents. We will continue to support Minnesota’s recovery from occupation… until another area is targeted.

Copy That is interested in collaborating with other artists and pro-democracy groups… all in service to the Resistance.

The designs you see here are by Copy That, in Ashland, Wisconsin. We are a small town independent print shop that also does graphic design, branding and more. We have a passion for freedom and democracy, and a soft spot for Minnesota. We are active within our own local Ashland Indivisible. We are part of the pro-democracy movement.

Our business makes no profit from this work. All funds raised will pay for wholesale production costs, shipping, and a small fraction of order handling costs. All design and administrative time is donated.

Copy That’s mission within the Resistance is to produce powerful messages and memorable designs on quality materials for profoundly low prices. Signs and art help fuel the movement. We’re here for it.
