We’ve been traveling the Southwestern states, sharing and educating audiences about Polish culture at many fantastic venues. As a non-profit, all volunteer group, additional expenses not covered by the performance fees are funded by the dancers themselves.
Next year we have a unique opportunity, a true, once in a lifetime. In July of 2019, the city of Rzeszow, Poland is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its International Polish Folk-Dance Festival. Hundreds of Polish folk-dance groups from around the world audition to take part. Only forty are chosen.
It truly is an honor just to be chosen to participate. Our little dance group has a great shot of making the cut. We’re anxious to show the world that there is a great Polish Folk-Dance Group, in Las Vegas of all places. More importantly, that they can really dance!
As you can imagine, the expense to send a group of at least twenty dancers, across the Atlantic, for a week long event is staggering. We’re working double-time, coming up with all kinds of fundraising ideas, from bake sales and BBQs, to festivals and dances. As group director, I dread having to tell the team that we’ve qualified but can’t go because we just don’t have enough to cover trip.
That’s why we’d love to have you as a sponsor! Any amount helps, because it all adds up. “Dziekuje!”, aka, many deeply appreciated thanks for your continued support and see you at the next show!
Sincerely, Janusz Nowak
