Send our GAR boats to the Head of the Charles!

Imagine an event like the Tour de France or the World Cup… that is what the Head of Charles is to the world of rowing. Held each year in Boston, it’s the largest and most prestigious 5k regatta in the world featuring over 11,000 athletes and over 2,000 boats.

This year, Gainesville Area Rowing (GAR) has been selected to send both a men's and a women’s high school team to compete. This is an incredible honor for these young athletes, and you can help make this once-in-a-lifetime dream come true for them.

GAR is a community-funded organization - without donations from local businesses and families we’re “dead in the water”. Your generous donations will help them cover:

Airfare

Boat transportation

Hotel fees

Registration and other costs
