Send our DR Robotics Team to World Championships!

Our Diamond Ranch Robotics Team, "Blueprints", recently competed against 42 teams at the Southern California FIRST Tech Challenge Regional Championships and took the crown! They were awarded first place for their design of their robot, and partnering with two other robotics teams, they won the overall tournament. With this accomplishment, Diamond Ranch earned one out of three coveted spots in our regional area to compete at the FIRST World Championships in Houston in mid-April. This is an incredible achievement, and will allow our Robotics Team to represent Diamond Ranch High and Pomona Unified School District on the highest possible stage of robotics competition as one of 192 of the best teams from all over the world!

As you can imagine, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for these particular students to compete on the world stage, and we do not want the cost of travel and lodging in Houston to hinder that experience. Unfortunately, based on the State of California's travel ban list (https://oag.ca.gov/ab1887) we are prohibited from using PUSD funds for the trip. Therefore, we are asking for the Diamond Ranch Family and extended PUSD community to help mitigate the expenses for this event.
