Our Story

Five extraordinary cadets from our squadron in Hayward, California have accomplished something truly remarkable — they've earned a spot among the top 100 teams in the nation at the American Rocketry Challenge (ARC) National Finals in Washington, D.C., competing against a field of 1,107 teams from across the country.

These dedicated high schoolers have poured countless hours into mastering the principles of engineering, physics, and rocketry, and their hard work has paid off in a way none of us anticipated. As volunteers, we are both astonished and incredibly proud of what this mighty little team has achieved.

Why We Need Your Help

Up to this point, the costs of rockets, materials, and registration fees leading up to Nationals have been entirely self-funded by our adult volunteers — a small price to pay for providing these young people with a transformative educational experience. However, the expense of flying five cadets to and from Washington, D.C. for the National Finals is beyond what we can cover on our own, and the timeline to arrange travel is tight.

- ✈️ Round-trip airfare for five cadets from the San Francisco Bay Area to Washington, D.C.
