Send our Bronx Brilliance to the Nationals in DC!

This year, our 7th and 8th graders at Bronx Latin School made us incredibly proud by excelling in the prestigious international STEM competition, Future City. Their challenge was to design a city of the future, themed "Electrify Your City." Our students presented a comprehensive project that included an insightful essay, a detailed model, and a persuasive presentation. ️
On January 20th, amidst fierce competition from some of New York City's finest schools—from Long Island's Suffolk County schools to the esteemed Columbia Secondary—our team emerged victorious, claiming 1st PLACE at the Regional Competition! .
Their next stop: National Competition in Washington, D.C! During engineering week from February 17th-21st, they will compete against champions from 40 other states.
Here's Our Challenge:
While the trip to D.C. is fully funded for three students, we believe that more team members deserve the chance to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. However, we face financial constraints in covering additional costs, including:
Meals: Our biggest expense is meal for the students which is not covered by the trip. Meals in the capital are expensive!
Travel Support: For extra team members to experience the national stage.
Model Shipping: Ensuring our city model arrives safely in D.C.
Transportation: To and from the airports.
Materials: For the final touches on our project especially the electronic components.
Snacks: To keep our team energized.
Any funds raised beyond our immediate needs will be reserved for snacks during after-school sessions (as working hungry has been a real challenge) and for supporting next year's project endeavors.
