Send Nya to Denmark — Future Vet on a Mission! ✈️

Hi everyone!

I’m Hayley — proud (and slightly overwhelmed) mom of four amazing kids. I’m here to tell you about my daughter Nyamae, who’s 19, fiercely determined, wildly compassionate, and currently juggling university, a CT imaging research assistantship, work at a local low-cost vet clinic, and volunteering with Rainbow Riders on the weekends — all while chasing her dream of becoming a veterinarian.

This fall, Nya has the chance to study abroad at the University of Southern Denmark — an incredible opportunity where she’ll dive deeper into animal science, medical imaging, and all things vet-related. She’ll be learning from international professors, gaining global experience, and (hopefully) not freezing to death in a Danish winter.

So why are we here?

As you probably know, study abroad isn’t cheap. Between flights, housing, insurance, food that isn’t instant noodles, and academic supplies, the costs are piling up faster than a Labrador sheds in spring. And as a single mom working two jobs, I’ve been doing my best to help her, but she could really use a little help from our village.

What your donation helps cover:

• ✈️ Airfare to Denmark (and back — she has to come home eventually!)

• Student housing in Odense

• Local transportation for clinic and lab work

• Tuition-related costs, course materials, and a decent lab coat

• Food, because brains need good food too

Nya’s not just a student — she’s a force. She’s gaining hands-on experience in both medical imaging and frontline animal care. She volunteers her time, studys long hours, and never says no to an animal in need (even the gross ones). I am so proud of her and how far she’s come — and this exchange is the next step toward vet school, which she’s determined to conquer.
