Send Noelle to a Musical Theater Summer Intensive

Dear friends and family,

Many of you already know me however let me introduce myself for those who may not.

My name is Noelle Duncan, I am a junior at Kokomo High School. I have performed my whole life. I started singing about the same time as I learned to talk, and I’ve loved it just as long. I started participating in musicals when I was 7 and I am currently preparing for my 41st show. Music is the biggest part of my life and performing is my biggest passion. It means everything to me and I would not be the person I am without it.

My goal is to be accepted into a musical theater program for college and then perform professionally. Recently, I was accepted into AMDA’s musical theater summer intensive program. This is a 2 week intensive on campus in New York City. Throughout the 2 weeks I would be taking classes and workshops with renowned teachers, auditioning for college, and getting a glimpse of the world I will be entering in just a little over a year. I would be getting new experiences, meeting new people, working with mentors, and being surrounded by people that are all passionate in the same things I am!! I would also be rehearsing for the show that takes place at the end of the intensive. This would be one of the most incredible experiences I could ever have.

I have received an overwhelming amount of support this past year with my singing and performances. Words cannot begin to describe my appreciation and gratitude for all the people that have been with me throughout this journey. God provides.

Getting into a college musical theater program is DIFFICULT!! I know that I am going to have to put in serious work to make this dream attainable, and doing a summer intensive would help me along this path. However, these summer intensives are thousands of dollars, which is much more expensive than I had hoped. With my large family, we can’t afford to spend substantial amounts of money on just one of us, so the chances of me being able to attend a summer intensive is low.

With this, I am writing this letter with the hopes that God will provide for my needs in one way or another. If you feel moved by this letter to donate money to help me reach the path to my dream of becoming a professional performer on broadway, then all I can do is thank you from the bottom of my heart. I pray that God blesses you and your family. Any little bit of money helps in the long run, and hopefully with your donation along with the efforts of my family, friends, and myself, I will be able to reach my goal.
