In their latest conquest, the MSUM Men’s Rugby Club proved victorious and now are headed to the NSCRO National Championship in Albany, NY. But, like any good break-away, the players need some support.
The Weinercats have defied the odds every step of the way. Led by Head Coach Kody Krautkremer, the ‘Cats have progressed further than at any time during their 17 year history. Since the Fall 2014 season, Moorhead has brought home four Minnesota Northern Lights conference titles, three appearances in Regionals, and a West Region National Championship. This season alone, the men produced one of the most talked about college rugby upsets in 2018 by rolling Vanderbilt University in the Fall, and in the Spring they dethroned Wayne State College.
The squad has a knack for crushing outside expectations, and rising to whatever challenges come their way. An off-the-pitch hurdle like funding shouldn’t hold this team back. Please consider giving a small gift as the Weinercats continue to make alumni everywhere proud. #Cats2Nats
