Ms. Claudia Cuellar has dedicated the last 19 years to the students, family, and staff at DeGolyer Elementary. She is truly the glue that holds our staff together as she collects student information, organizes and manages class rosters, assists parents with accessing their child’s district student portal, and so much more. And she does it all with a beautiful smile on her face!

This October, her son and former dolphin, Armando will be graduating from Basic Training for the United States Marine Corps. She is so proud of him that even telling people about him brings her to tears.

His graduation ceremony will on October 14, 2025 in San Diego, CA. Ms. Cuellar is doing her very best to be able to go see him, but I’m sure everyone can relate to the struggle of trying to fit and extra plane ticket or hotel room into the budget.

We, her Dolphin Family could easily cover this cost for her - it would hardly be a fraction of the debt she is owed by this community! She has been a friendly face to all of us for nearly two decades.
