Send Michael to Brown University

I have an opportunity to learn about quantum computing in a two-week

pre-college course at Brown University, which boasts one of the best computer

science programs in the world! I’ve realized that research oriented computer

science is my best path to making the world a better place – namely fighting

climate change – and I would be delighted to take my next steps along this path

at such a distinguished institution.

Plus, this summer experience at Brown will help prepare me for the challenges of full-time attendance at a demanding college. After graduating from Dallas’

Talented and Gifted High School next year, I hope to top this two-week

studentship at Brown with four years of full enrollment.

I’m currently working as a carpenter to help raise money to attend Brown. I’ve

already been accepted into the summer program and paid the tuition, but I still

need extra funds for my round trip flight to Brown’s campus in Providence, Rhode Island, as well as for housing and living expenses while there this summer. Even
