Send Me to the Oxford Scholars Programme
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tiffany Gbilia and I'm fundraising for the Oxford Scholars Programme. I am a scholarship student and rising senior at the American International School of Monrovia. I am also my school's student body President and a member of two clubs with international reach; the National English Honor Society and the Model United Nations. I am writing to make a general appeal for financial assistance to support my participation in the prestigious Oxford Scholars Programme (OSP) at Oxford University, London, England. The program supports high school students who are under 18 years old from all over the world and teaches us how to connect the dots between academic and real-world practices. I am one of only 48 students accepted through a rigorous merit-based recruitment process. I am the only Liberian chosen amongst other participants globally - based on a thorough review of my academic records, completing a series of essays, a review of extracurricular activities specifically community service, and an interview. My participation in the program would be a dream come true for me and would further distinguish me as an exceptional candidate as I prepare to submit college applications next academic year.
I am soliciting the support of my community to help make this dream a reality. The fee for the program is $7,700 USD (after conversion from 5,998 pounds) and the roundtrip flight cost from Monrovia, Liberia (ROB) to London, England (LHR) is roughly $1300 USD - totaling $9000 USD. Large or small, your contribution would be greatly appreciated as I embark on this journey. The deadline to raise these funds is July 31st. Please feel free to share widely within your network.
