Send Matt to the Lauritz Melchior Competition

When I submitted my audition videos, I never thought I would actually be selected as one of 16 quarter finalists in THE WORLD for the Lauritz Melchior International Singing Competition in Denmark. This competition, named for one of the greatest Heldentenors of all time, and one of my idols, specializes in Wagnerian repertoire only, with the intention of discovering the next generation of great Wagnerian singers.

This is an incredible opportunity to advance my career as a Heldentenor as I will be heard by the Artistic Director of the Glyndebourne Festival, the head of the Royal Danish Opera, the director of Berlin Staatsoper, as well as agents and many more influential people in the field. There will also be masterclasses with Wagner specialists, the opportunity to sing in concert with the Aalborg Symphony Orchestra, and the possibility of winning significant prize money!

They say, it takes a village to raise a child, likewise, it takes a community to grow an artist. Travel expenses for this lifetime opportunity along with the investment for preparatory lessons and coachings will only be possible with your help!
