Send Marley to play soccer in Germany!

My name is Marley Holden and soccer is a big part of my life. This summer, July 2023, my team and I are going to Hamburg, Germany to play soccer in an international tournament that has teams competing from all over the world.

This team, formed from our Varsity High School had a highly successful soccer season. We placed first in our league and made it to the quarterfinals in state playoffs. Our team motto is “we are family.” I received awards for 1st team all league and 1st team all state. I’m grateful for my teammates that taught me that soccer is so much more than just a sport.

On our team family we respect each other 100%. We support, care for and play for each other 100%. We laugh together and cry together. We win together and lose together. At the end of every game we circle up, win or lose, we focus on the positives of our team. We compliment each other, celebrate each other and tighten our bond through friendship, compassion and competition.

On and off the field we strive to create meaningful relationships with our teammates, coaches, opponents, fans and even referees. We accept the diversity of others, we celebrate our uniqueness, share compassion, encourage fairness, create opportunities to better ourselves and work hard to achieve goals we set for ourselves.

What’s my goal? I want to play soccer in Germany with the best team ever.
