Hi friends! A little life update. I’m excited to announce that I’ve been invited to serve with two missions teams this year: one with Women Abide in partnership with We Will Go ministries in Jackson, MS, and one with my church, serving with Betel UK.

At the end of June, the team from Women Abide will help lead the children’s camp program through Bible teaching, worship, and crafts during their summer camp. You can learn more about their summer camp here: https://www.wewillgo.org/summer-camp

The total cost is $1250: $800 for housing, meals, and a scholarship for a child to attend the camp, and an estimated $450 for flights.

The second trip of the year with Betel UK will be in November. My church has a 30+ year relationship with this amazing ministry, dedicated to helping men and women struggling with drug and alcohol abuse. https://betel.uk/ We will be working alongside the residents in recovery!

Room and board are covered for this mission, but I am looking for help covering flight costs, which are estimated to be $650.

Some of you may wonder, “Maria, what has sparked your interest in missions after all these years?” Well, in the past, it has been way more convenient for me to send others than to go myself. But, I believe the Lord has asked me to trust Him and go with these teams to share about His incredible works and kindness, and to return with encouragement for our churches and ministries here in Charlottesville.

The total cost of both trips is $1,900: so far, I’ve raised 20% of that. So I only have $1,525 left to be raised! I am hoping to be fully funded for the Jackson trip by May 31st, and funded for Betel by the deadline of June 15th. Thank you so much for considering!!
