Send Marc to U24 Championships in England

Hey all, my name is Marc Anthony Muñoz! My pronouns are he/him and I am from Kent Washington. I was recently selected to play for team USA U24 Mixed this July in Nottingham England! This is personally a dream come true and I wouldn’t be the player I am today without the love and support from my community. For me to live this dream, it comes with a price. About me:

I am originally born and raised in the the Southend of Seattle also known as the “Soufend”. I grew up with many BIPOC who faced similar challenges. Within the community, I secured life long friends who motivate me to be the best that I can be.

I started playing frisbee in the fourth grade at Kimball Elementary on Beacon Hill. There, I grew a passion for playing with my friends. I continued to play at Mercer Middle school and then Franklin High School. I participated in multiple clubs outside of school to expand my game and friend group. I later fell in love with mixed ultimate. I love the thought of playing on a stage where I could see ALL of my friends shine together and be dominant athletes.

I actively coach middle school girls for a team called Southend Club Ultimate. This past fall season I had the opportunity to coach for South Shore K-8 School. We struggled with getting enough numbers for the season, but we made it work! I enjoyed building meaningful bonds and passing off my passion onto the future. I believe it is important to be a positive role model for the young BIPOC in my community and to show them that anything I can do, they can do too.
