Hello there Friends and Family,

 

Once upon a time, when I was in a wheelchair and couldn't walk, the doctors thought I needed a double vertebrae replacement surgery and a young boy went busking in SF to help fundraise for my surgery. That boy just opened on Broadway!!

 

Ok "Framily", I don’t ask for a lot, even on my birthday or holidays. But for ONCE, here’s something I want and can’t afford right now because I’m using all my funds for my soon to be grand-child. I want to go to NY in Dec/Jan to see my two Music Men, my Isaiah (in Book of Mormon) and my Austin (originating his role in Girl From the North Country) - BOTH ON BROADWAY.

 

So I’m putting this out there. In case you can donate a bit. Even if you have $5, fam, if will help me get there and not have to sleep on the street, that would be truly Wicked! I Ain’t Too Proud - I just want to see my boys/men! Heck, if every one of my FB "friends" just donated $1 that would be all I need and I'd be Less Miserables!  ;)

 

Currently I'm working my booty off for my current students keeping my program moving forward after the pandemic, so I don't have time to go get a side job like being a temporary Waitress.  And I still have to somehow pay RENT.   But I am constantly thinking of these two former students.  In fact if you look real close, on my current show, the anachronistic boxers worn on the performer's head says “Maggots...” in honor of Isaiah's lines in his show! And though I got to see Isaiah on tour, and Austin in Hamilton, this is very different.  Isaiah is finally on Broadway where he belongs and Austin is originating his role!  

 

My Fair Ladies, and gents, and other delightful humans,  you could gift this for my (January) birthday if you need a reason. Just help a poor teacher out so I can try to go in Dec/Jan since who knows what the future will bring and I really don't want regret it for the Next Five Years!! Let's make this happen!

UPDATE: at suggestion of many people, I’m upping the price to cover the tickets too. We shall see… I’m also planning on making a virtual card that everyone here can sign & that I’ll bring to each of them!!! We can ALL be there!
