Send Maddy to National Tourney with Team!

Hello friends!

Maddy has an opportunity to go to the NWBA National Tournament with the Portland Jr. Wheelblazers at the end of this month! This year, it is in Witchita, KS. She has been on the team since she was seven and is in her seventh year of playing! This is her first year on Varsity.

We didn't think it was feasible for her to go this year, because of cost, but she really, really wants to go. Many of her fellow teammates are in their last year of playing and it is a final opportunity for her to play with her peers that she has played with for many years. Because of Covid, she has missed out on many team-building opportunities with this group.

Shawn and I decided not to let cost be a factor if we could help it and we decided to tuck our tail in between our legs and ask for help from friends and family.

Shawn will travel with Maddy to the tournament, which is in part what makes it so expensive for us. The flight alone for the two of them is $1400. Add hotel plus incidentals and it turns into $2k.
