Send Love To Tim Stevenson

Donation protected
This is Tim Stevenson.  He is a loving husband, a dedicated father, a loyal brother, a caring son, a true friend to many and a man who has started the fight of his life.

Battling alcoholism all his adult life, Tim's body was beginning to fail him after he decided to begin his road to sobriety. He was recently released after spending 21 days in the hospital for Stage 4 cirrhosis, with severe damage to his liver and a dangerous bacterial infection. His abdomen is now constantly filling up with fluid, as the liver has ceased to function properly. When Tim first entered the hospital, the doctors gave him a 5-10% chance of his liver recovering, and he is going to need a liver transplant down the road.

Tim has a long, difficult road back to sobriety and general health, but this is a man that is motivated to fight. He has checked himself into a live-in, 45 day rehab clinic, and is embracing the day to day mental and physical challenge ahead of him.

Tim's 21 day hospital stay, in-patient rehab treatment for alcoholism, and ongoing outpatient care and wellness has an extremely high financial burden on the Stevenson family. To give context, each night spent in the hospital, including tests, procedures, and care, costs an average of $3,000.  His required medications costs roughly $3,000  a month, none of which are covered by insurance. Finally, each month going forward will have costs exceeding $15,000, which will include outpatient care, prescriptions, and ongoing tests.

Understandably, the family is struggling to meet these staggering expenses. Karen, Tim's wife of 29 years, is currently working two jobs to support their two children, Katie and Christina, still living at home while Tim is focused on his recovery and sobriety.

This is where you can make a world of difference. If Tim has touched your life in any way throughout the years, whether that be a laugh, a hug, a smile, or high five after a touchdown by his beloved Notre Dame Fighting Irish, please consider making a gift to help him get the care he truly deserves. Every contribution matters and no gift is too small (Tim's sister Mary will be in charge of withdrawing the funds).

Your love, prayers, and support mean everything to Tim and his family. He is committed to getting healthy and we will match that commitment by raising these funds for him.

Thank you all and God Bless.
