Send Love for Jonathan Castloo's Family

Donation protected
Oh March 12th, 2021, I lost my younger brother and better half of 35 years. While I have lost the man who somehow prepared me for fatherhood my whole life and helped me complete the dichotomy of modern masculinity...his family has lost so much more.

My brother was one of the hardest workers anyone has ever known--which may get said a lot--but anyone who knew him--he had helped them more than once. That was just who he was. As a result of his hard working nature, he worked on the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers. Unfortunately this job...has resulted in this campaign through a sudden and tragic accident.

Jonathan didn't leave behind--but blessed us instead--with a wonderful sister in the woman that is his wife, and three incredible children. Together they led a fearless life of love and growth, which sat as a beacon for anyone who was willing to partake in a meal at their table.

While I have never claimed to align with any specific faith, my brother was destined to follow Jesus as the shoes you'd hear him prefer on his feet were sandals, just like a Shephard. My brother saw everyone as equals, but still loved each person as if they were a member of his flock, to be protected and cared for. Faith or not, that's simply who he has been since he was a small boy. He ended up building a family that stretched outside of a house and across yards.

I like to think everyone who knew Jonathan, or Johnny as many knew him, was so much better off for it accidentally finding themselves in an almost nomadic family, full of people who were deeply, and endlessly loved. Finding the breath to get through all of this has been difficult, so I will end with another thought I'd like to think.

I'd also like to think that the family, and the other families and flocks those people are a part of might be able to breathe one last breath of his, a breath of seemingly superhuman support for his family as send off, allowing him to rest easy knowing his love, hard work, and faith in people, has reached distances he was never aware of.
