Send FAMU’s Previous Student Body President to Rome

Hello, my name is Loryn May. I’m a senior mathematics education scholar from Pensacola, Florida, currently attending The #1 Public HBCU Florida A&M University, where I proudly serve as Student Body President. I’ve been accepted into the study abroad program at John Cabot University in Rome, Italy—an incredible opportunity that I am truly excited about.

As a full-time student and campus leader, I currently do not have a steady source of income, and I am working to ease the financial burden on my family. I’m seeking support to help cover the costs of tuition, room and board, a meal plan, and travel expenses for this program.

Studying abroad is not only a personal dream but also an opportunity to broaden my global perspective—something I believe will make me a more well-rounded educator and leader.
