Our sweet Libby was diagnosed with terminal Stage 4 Lung Cancer in October of 2020. She was given a year to live at the time of her diagnosis. And for the last year and a half she has done just that: LIVE! She has fought tooth and nail through chemo pills, operations, doctor appointments, harsh side-effects, physical and emotional pain all while working full time, volunteering in her community, volunteering for cancer support organizations, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

 

Up until now, the treatment that she has been receiving from M.D. Anderson has kept the cancer at bay, however, on Memorial Day, she was admitted to the hospital with excess fluid on the right side of her body. Unfortunately, the fluid is a sign that her current treatment is no longer stopping the cancer from growing. She is running out of traditional treatment options.
